Plan & Work

Every approved strategy action is a work item on the Plan & Work board, with a status, priority, due date and a link back to the opportunity it came from.

Plan & Work is the single source of truth for delivery. There is one work-item system — a work item always descends from an approved strategy action, which descends from an opportunity. Jira, when connected, mirrors these; it never owns them.

Statuses

Status	Meaning
Planned / Ready / To do	Approved, not started.
In progress	Being worked on.
Waiting approval	A change proposal has been drafted and is in the Changes queue.
Validating	The change was applied; RankOut is reading the live value back.
Done	Applied and validated.
Blocked	Validation failed or a dependency isn't met.
Failed	The apply step failed.

The Plan & Work board grouped by status with priority and due-date columns — Work items carry a status, priority and due date, and link back to their opportunity.

Due dates and reminders

Set a due date on a work item and RankOut surfaces it in the notification bell in the top bar: overdue first, then due today, then the next seven days. Done and failed items drop out of the reminders.
